    First example. A forty-page quarterly report arrives an hour before a meeting. Report Digest, built from the Summarizer recipe, works alone — the job is reading and cutting — and hands back one page keeping every figure, deadline and owner exactly as written.

    When one of them needs a fact

    Second example. You ask for an announcement about a change to the parental leave policy. Announcement Writer, built from the Writer recipe, needs the actual change first, so it consults HR Policy Q&A, built from the Chat with Documents recipe, on the difference between the old policy and the new one. Announcement Writer then writes the announcement, quoting the policy.

    The writer never had to hold the handbook. The handbook app never had to learn your house style. Neither got worse at its own job.

    Third example. A customer writes in, in Spanish, asking whether the platform complies with the GDPR when data is held outside the EU. Support Assistant, built from the Customer Service Agent recipe, is the only app the customer deals with, and it consults three in turn: Contract Translator, on what the customer is actually asking; Terms and Policy Q&A, on what the terms say about data held outside the EU; and Publication Checker, on the wording of the reply. Support Assistant then answers in Spanish, quoting the clause. Each app was called directly by Support Assistant, and none of them called any further.

    The customer dealt with one app — and all three it consulted are named alongside the answer.

Questions people ask

Do I need to know how to code?

No. HundredOne is made for people who do not write software. You pick the job you want done and answer a few questions, each one a choice from a short list described in terms of your work rather than settings. We choose the AI model, write the instructions and handle the rest underneath. There is nothing to code, nothing to configure and nothing to install.

What can I build with it?

Apps that do a job you would otherwise do by hand: answer questions from your own documents with the source quoted, summarize long reports, write and translate, proofread, turn a spreadsheet into a dashboard, research a subject on the web, build a slide deck, or draft replies to customers from your own policies. You can also describe a job in your own words and build an app nobody wrote a template for.

How much does HundredOne cost?

Individual is $29 a month for one person, and Teams is $99 a month for up to 5 people sharing everything they build. Before that there is a free trial: 3 days, as many apps of your own as you want, no credit card. Larger organizations and anyone needing an on-premise deployment are priced individually. You can change plan or cancel at any time.

How is this different from just using ChatGPT?

A general assistant starts from nothing every time: you re-explain the job, re-attach the files and re-write the instructions, and everyone on your team does it slightly differently. Here the job becomes an app. It keeps its own instructions, its own documents and its own way of answering, and anyone you share it with gets the same result without knowing how it was set up.

What files can it read?

PDFs, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint decks, and plain text, Markdown, CSV and JSON. Files are read in your browser, so the original file never leaves your computer — only the text your app searches is stored. A scanned PDF with no selectable text is refused at upload, with that reason given, rather than accepted and quietly stored as empty.

What happens to my documents, and who can see them?

They stay in your workspace and are visible to you and to anyone you deliberately share an app with. Answering a question means sending the relevant passages to the AI model that answers it, and every answer quotes the passages it used so you can check it against the source. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone else. If your material cannot leave your own network at all, that is what the Corporate plan is for.

Which AI model does it use?

We choose the model for each app and change it as better ones appear, which is part of what you are paying for and why you never have to pick one. On the Corporate plan you can bring your own model keys and endpoints and run everything against your existing provider agreement instead.

Can it search the web?

Yes. The Research Assistant, News Analyzer, Financial Analyzer and Lead Researcher are built around it, and web search can be switched on for other apps. An app decides for itself when a question needs a search rather than searching every time, and every answer lists the pages it read with the publication and the date, so you can open them yourself. Where sources disagree, it says so.

Can my apps work together?

Yes. When you build an app you tick which of your other apps it may consult, and it works out for itself, question by question, whether any of them would help — you never write a rule about when. Every answer names which app was asked and what it was asked, and anyone you share an app with only reaches the apps they could already open themselves.

Can I change an app after I have made it?

Yes, and most people do. Every part of an app can be rewritten afterward, including a standing instruction added once you have seen some results, such as 'add citations to every answer'. Every change is a new version and any old version can be restored. You can also clone an app to try a variant without touching the original.

Can we run it on our own infrastructure?

Yes, on the Corporate plan. On-premise and private-cloud deployments are set up with you rather than self-served, using your own storage and your own model endpoint, so your documents never leave your network. Tell us your constraints and we will tell you plainly whether we can meet them.
